So I've entered myself in a little competition.
I'm not sure how I'll go, but I'm going to give it a red hot crack. The competition really appeals to me because I love to cook and I already use the gourmet garden products in most of my meals. I use them partly because they're such a quick and easy alternative to keeping fresh herbs but mainly because I'm crap at keeping fresh herbs alive.
The pathetic looking 'fresh' mint arrangement on my kitchen bench.
The Gourmet Garden herbs I already use.
Don't panic, they're not usually arranged so neatly.
I totes did that for presentation purposes.
So last week I received my little bundle of Gourmet Garden goodies and set about planning our meals for the week. Yes, I'm one of those pesky mothers who plans her cooking in advance. I know. I'm just as over myself as you are. But honestly, planning meals in advance really does save me time and money at the supermarket, which of course means more cashola for the important things in life...like shoes and handbags.
The Gourmet Garden herbs I'll be using in this week's meals.
Yes, I have an actual Meal Planner thingy.
Cos I don't do things by halves.
Anyho, long story short, this week I'll be sharing my Little Suzy Homemaker recipes with you. The good peeps at Gourmet Garden will be watching closely to see what I'm whipping up and hopefully one or two of my recipes will appear on their website. And then, with any luck, I might even advance to the next round which will mean participating in a 'Cook Off' at the Brisbane Good Food and Wine Show. Which would be both terrifying and exciting. But I'm totes up for the challenge!
How about you?
Do you love to cook, action meal plan & use herbs like me?
Or are you more like my mother whereby
the only thing you like to make for dinner is a reservation?
xox
