At my husband's work the staff have a tradition of getting a Chicken Burger every Friday. They even have a name for it: Chicken Burger Friday. Original.
I've had the misfortune of experiencing CBF for myself and it's pretty gross. Fatty, fried chicken on a borderline stale bun, with a bit of limp lettuce thrown on top for good luck. I suggest that next time they feel like having CBF they should pull out the BBQ (yes, they have a bbq at the office. Don't ask.) and whip up my delicious, fresh, healthy chicken burgers instead. They're a regular feature at our place...which probably explains why my coke drinking, fast food loving husband hangs out for his greasy fix at work every Friday!
How about you? Do you have an easy, family friendly, borderline healthy meal that's a hit at your place? Tell me everything....

Nachos pie does it for us! If my children see me with mince they screw up their noses but lace with tinned tomatoes, corriander, paprika, cumin, a little flour to thicken, sprinkle with sour cream, grated cheese and some broken up nachos and it's seconds all round and effusive complimenting of the chef (to make sure I do it again in the not too distant future I think!).
ReplyDeleteYum Kate, that sounds delicious! Might have to give that one a try myself. Thanks so much for sharing :)
