I don't know about you, but the closer I get to 40 the crappier my skin becomes. I mean, I sailed through my teens, 20's and early 30's with really clear skin. Fast forward to 39 and good lord, my skin looks like I've spent most of my adult years doing nothing but smoking fags, baking myself in the sun all day & drinking way too much on a semi-regular basis. Um....
Anyho, as I hurtle toward to the big four oh, I've decided to tackle my skin problems head on and in the process I've discovered a few skin care gems that I thought you might like to know about too.
#1 // Water. And plenty of it.
Drink it up peeps, cos it totally makes a difference to how your skin looks. Really. It does.
#2 // Sunscreen
Slap it on your face & neck every single day. Without fail. And don't rely on foundation with a built in sunscreen, cos it just doesn't do the trick. Honestly. It doesn't.
#3 // Clarisonic
This little cleansing tool is my new favourite thing. It cleans your skin like nothing else and leaves you feeling like you've just had a facial in the shower. Which is kind of weird, but amazing all at the same time.
#4 // Mario Badescu Drying Cream
This little tub of cream does a fairly good at zapping those pesky hormonal zits overnight. While it doesn't clear them up completely, it definitely makes you feel less like a volcano is about to erupt on your chin and more like you can confidently face the world without anyone asking "what the hell is that on your face?"
#5 // Rose Hip Oil
I love this stuff. It's fairly cheap, lasts for ages and makes my annoying dry skin feel really soft. I use it every night and love it sick. If you haven't got on board the Rose Hip Oil train, you totally should. You won't be sorry. Promise.
